Leonor Sánchez-Busó
I am a research scientist in microbial genomics focused on sexually-transmitted infections. After I finished my PhD in 2015 on the molecular epidemiology of Legionella pneumophila, I joined the Wellcome Sanger Institute (Cambridge, UK) as a Postdoctoral Fellow working on genomics, antimicrobial resistance and evolution of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and I enrolled in a Staff Scientist position in the same institute in 2017. In 2019, I started working as Public Health Bioinformatician at the Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance (Big Data Institute, Oxford, UK) to lead the genomic analysis of the 2018 Euro-GASP survey. In July 2020, I started a Research Scientist position in FISABIO-Public Health (Valencia, Spain) to continue my work on genomics of STIs.Lecture(s)
