Prof. Dr. Vladimir Kovalyuk

Dr Vladimir Kovalyk graduated from Russian State Medical University in 1995. Completed clinical residence in Skin and STD at Central Scientific Research Institute of Skin and Venereal Diseases, Moscow in 1997. Earner his PhD in 2007 under the guidance of prof. Mikhail Gomberg. Completed a number of refresher courses, including: • Annual Course on Principles of STD and HIV Research (by prof. King Holmes). University of Washington. Seattle, summer 2007. • Surgical Dermatology Course (by prof. Peter Kohl), Vivantes Klinikum Berlin, 2008 Dr Kovalyk’s experience: Researcher at Central Scientific Research Institute for Skin and Venereal Diseases. Department of Urogenital Infections, research fellow, 1998 to 2008. Associate professor and professor of the Department of Dermatovenereology at Academy of Post-diploma Education FMBA from 2009 till present. Lecturer of refreshing courses on STIs for postgraduate medical students, CME courses, 2000 to present. IUSTI member from 2006. Research interest: sexually transmitted diseases, male infertility, viral infection, chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
